Virginia Hill

Virginia Smith Hill, 81, of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, November 12, 2017, at White Oak Estates-Spartanburg. Born August 30, 1936, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Virginia Hatchette Sprouse and adoptive daughter of the late Russell Posey Smith Sr. and Guynita Wilkins Smith and widow of Robert Dennis Hill, Jr. Mrs. Hill received her Bachelor's Degree from Winthrop College and retired from the medical office of G. B. Hodge, MD after 40 years of service. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. Survivors include two brothers; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by four brothers and one sister. A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at Salem United Methodist Church, 5425 N. Main St., Cowpens, SC 29330, by the Rev. Wayne Major.
