Virginia Edge

Virginia Collins Edge, 87, of 415 Brenda Way, Lyman, SC, formerly of Nazareth Church Road, Moore, SC, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Ashlan Village. Born June 17, 1926, in Inman, SC, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Guy and Roey Johnson Collins of Inman. She was happily married for 52 years, to the late James Harold Edge. A graduate of Cecil's Business College, Mrs. Edge was retired from the Cryovac Division of W. R. Grace Company-Duncan. She was a longtime member of Nazareth Presbyterian Church, the Wagner Sunday School Class, the World Mission Board, Sr. High Youth Leader, Sunday School teacher of senior youth, the Presbyterian Women, Friendship Club, American Legion Auxiliary, and a member and former chairman of Circle #1. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by sisters, Darcus Collins James and Merle Collins Sumner; and brothers, Robert "Bob" D. Collins and James "Jim" A. Collins. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, June 28, 2013, in Nazareth Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 680 Nazareth Church Rd., Moore, SC 29369, by the Rev. David Sutton. Visitation will be at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 260 Fairwinds Drive, Landrum, SC 29356. The family is at their respective homes.
