Virginia Smith Crouch, 92, of 107 Bedford Road, Spartanburg, died Monday, November 22, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born June 20, 1918 in Macon, GA, she was the daughter of the late Milton P. and Corinne Cranford Smith and wife of the late Earl Edgar Crouch. She was retired from 3M Corporation and the Jack Rabbit Company. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church, the Gleaners Sunday School Class, the Shadetree Musicians, and the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Jerry I. (Kay) Pruitt of Moore and Mrs. William (Beverly) Dismukes of Greer; a son, Michael L. Crouch of Blythwood; four grandchildren, Christopher J. Pruitt, Cynthia R. Stephens, Jeffrey D. Dismukes (Dayna), and Pamela S. Crumley (Benjamin); nine great-grandchildren, Rachel E. Pruitt, C. Ryan Pruitt, Joseph J. Francis, III, Benjamin T. Francis, Claire M. Francis, Abbey C. Francis, Morgan E. Dismukes, Peyton C. Dismukes and L. Gabriel Crumley; and a brother, Thomas W. Smith, Sr. of Greenville. Visitation will be 11:00-11:45 p.m. Friday, November 26, 2010 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 Noon at the chapel, conducted by the Rev. James Nugent and the Rev. Alice Letmon. A private interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 316 South Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306 or the American Lung Association, 1817 Gadsen Street, Columbia, SC 29201 or Rock Hill Agape Hospice, 1317 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
