Virginia Crocker Cooke, 86, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, December 1, 2014, at her home. Born May 5, 1928, in Clifton, SC, she was the daughter of the late Olin Lee and Bertha Orette Million Crocker, and widow of Billy Houston Cooke. Mrs. Cooke attended Whitney Free Will Baptist Church and was formerly employed with Spartanburg Boys Home/Glenn Spring Academy. Survivors include her children, Brenda Montjoy (Lamar), Nancy Cooke, Gary Cooke (Libby), all of Spartanburg, SC, and Tracy Cooke (Carol) of Converse, SC; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and her brother, Franklin Grell Crocker (Janet) of Boiling Springs, SC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three brothers, Charlie Crocker, Martin Crocker, and Arthur Crocker. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 4, 2014, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, by the Rev. Bobby Bowers. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. The family is at their respective homes.
