Violet Green

Violet Lee Thomas Green, 84, formerly of 196 Riverview St., Converse, SC, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013. She was born December 22, 1928, in Spartanburg, the youngest daughter of the late John Henry and Fannie Hembree Thomas. She was the widow of Johnny Sephas "Sebo" Green, to whom she was married for 54 years. She was of the Presbyterian faith. Surviving her is one son, John Randall "Randy" Green (Hazel) of Fairmont; three daughters, Pamela Goode (Bobby), Kim Millard (Art), and Angela Grizzle (James), all of Cowpens; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters, Edith Turner of Spartanburg and Audrey Scales of Cowpens. She is predeceased by two grandchildren and five sisters. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, March 29, 2013, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, by the Rev. Mannon R. Turner. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
