Amelia Victoria "Vicki" Miller Ryan, 96, of Spartanburg, SC, died Thursday, March 9, 2017, at Valley Falls Terrace-Spartanburg. Born May 10, 1920, in Richmond, VA, she was the daughter of the late C. J. and Harriett Bebee Sager Miller and widow of Elbert Lacon Ryan, Jr. Mrs. Ryan was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and a licensed practical nurse with Mary Black Memorial Hospital and Skylyn Place. Survivors include her children, E. Lacon Ryan III (Barbara) and Helen Harriett Ryan, all of Spartanburg, SC, Ret. Col. Thomas Michael Ryan (Jill) of Valrico, FL, Charles Joseph Ryan Jr. of Atlanta, GA, and Myra Ryan Taylor of Charleston, SC; seven grandchildren, Bert Ryan of Spartanburg, Leigh Lamb of Spartanburg, Frank Taylor of Charleston, Lowndes Taylor of Charlotte, NC, Michael Ryan of Valrico, FL, Chip Ryan of Simpsonville, and Matt Ryan of Spartanburg; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and sister, Margaret Webb of Atlanta, GA. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Harry Miller; and sister, Betty Inman. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Sunday, March 12, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. David R. Whitman. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
