Vicki Austin

Vicki Swofford Austin, 64, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born July 20, 1958 in Gaffney, SC, she was the daughter of Hazel Clary Swofford of Gaffney, SC, and the late Geddes Swofford.

Vicki was a member of First Baptist Spartanburg and the David Wise Life Group. She was a former travel consultant and sales director at Wilson World Hotel.

Survivors include her husband, Jeffrey Alan Austin of the home; her daughter, Hannah Austin MacMillan (Ryan) of Spartanburg, SC; her son, Grayson J. Austin of Fort Worth, TX, her brother, Brian Swofford of Boiling Springs, SC, sister, Susan S. Hines (Randy) of Atlanta, GA; and two grandchildren, Mason MacMillan and Maddison MacMillan. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Kathy Swofford; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Woodrow Clary and Mr. & Mrs. S. B. Swofford.

A Memorial service will be 11:00 am Saturday, August 27, 2022 at First Baptist Spartanburg, 250 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306, conducted by The Rev. Brian Redding and The Rev. Richard Krieg. Visitation to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Spartanburg Preschool Department, 250 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306 or to a charity of one’s choice.
