Vesta O'Dell

Vesta Mae Pannell O'Dell, 94, formerly of Pacolet Mills, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 19, 2009, joining her husband, Ernest Lee O'Dell and her son, Charles Lynn O'Dell. She was born October 11, 1915, in Scott County, VA, the daughter of the late John Wesley Pannell and Rosa Belle Neely Bledsoe. She was retired from Pacolet Mills with over fifty years of service and was a member of Pacolet Mills Baptist Church where she belonged to the Fidelias Sunday School Class and the Ruth Walden Circle. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Geneva Thompson O'Dell of Boiling Springs; three granddaughters, Kathy O'Dell Greene and Steve Robinson of Boiling Springs and their daughter Erica Greene Edwards and her husband Dustin Edwards of Brevard, NC; Kim O'Dell Williams, her husband Donnie Williams, and their son Austin Williams of Boiling Springs; and Kaye O'Dell Edge, her husband Mike Edge, their daughter Marissa Edge of Boiling Springs, their son Bryan Gosnell and Jessica Davis of Spartanburg, and their son Chris Gosnell, his wife Natasha Gosnell, and their son Grayson Gosnell of Lyman; a sister, Daisy Bledsoe Owensby, formerly of Pacolet; a special great-niece, Jodi McAbee of Pacolet; and her roommate at Magnolia Place, Inez Fortenberry. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Norman L. Band. Burial will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens. The family is at their respective homes.
