Vera Richards

Vera Mae Kirby Richards, 95, of Inman, formerly of Pacolet, died Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at Magnolia Manor-Inman. Born July 16, 1916, in Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ethel Fowler Kirby and wife of the late Lawrence Richards. Mrs. Richards was a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church and the Pacolet Senior Citizens organization. Survivors include her sister, Louise K. Pannell of Pacolet; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Pearl Gloss, Edna Sinclair, and Ruby Earley; and brothers, Samuel, Robert, Clarence, and Lloyd Kirby. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, December 2, 2011, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, by the Rev. Lynn Ford. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. The family is at the home of her sister, Louise Pannell, 320 Hillbrook Circle, Pacolet, SC 29372.
