Velma Stover

Velma A. Stover, 88, of Boiling Springs, SC, died Monday, March 16, 2015, at Magnolia Place-Spartanburg. Born January 10, 1927, in Bellefonte, PA, she was the daughter of the late Elvin Blair Stover and Susie Ramish Stover. Velma spent her entire life in church related activities. For 25 years, she assisted in church work in Millville, NJ, where she also worked as secretary for Friedrich and Dimmock. More recently, she worked at Community Bible Church Academy of Boiling Springs, SC. She taught Sunday School, sang in services, and did much entertaining for the church. She was a member of Community Bible Church of Boiling Springs. Survivors include her sister, Eloise Lutz (Leon) of Fort Worth, TX; brother, Phil Stover (Ann) of Dayton, OH; one niece and three nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by four sisters. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Friday, March 20, 2015, at Community Bible Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, conducted by the Rev. Robert Deaton and the Rev. Dan Parker. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Memorial Gardens, 4081 Hwy 9 N, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
