Tula Cothran

Tula Hughes Cothran, of Spartanburg, died Monday, January 23, 2012, at RoseCrest Retirement Community. Born in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Erskine and Lala Duncan Hughes, and wife of the late Harry Lee Cothran. Mrs. Cothran was an interior designer for HBJ Home Furnishings and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Survivors include her son, Thomas Lee Cothran and his wife Sally Stuart Cothran of Kennewick, WA; grandson, William Thomas Cothran and his wife Heather Morgan Cothran of Spartanburg; granddaughter, Ashley Cothran Wilkins and her husband William Stephen Wilkins Jr. of Boiling Springs; great-grandchildren, Emerson Rae Cothran, William Simmons Wilkins, and Brooks Coleman Wilkins; and a brother, Thomas Erskine Hughes of Spartanburg. Visitation will be 2:00-2:45 PM Thursday, January 26, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. David B. Smith. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 245 S.
