Trudy Elder

Trudy B. Elder, 63, of Walnut Grove, SC, died Friday, September 12, 2014 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born April 27, 1951, she was the wife of Donald Ray Elder, Sr. of 47 years and was a daughter of Velma Easler Bishop Parks and of the late James Elmer Bishop, Jr. Mrs. Elder was a member of Glendale Baptist Church and a former employee of Spartanburg Regional Medical Center's Business Office. Mrs. Elder was a loving grandmother. Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Elder Douglas of Walnut Grove, SC; a brother, James E. Bishop, III and wife, Nancy, of Spartanburg, SC; a granddaughter, Lauren Douglas, of Walnut Grove, SC, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Donald R. Elder, Jr., and a brother, Richard Wayne Bishop. Visitation will be 1:30-2:30 PM Sunday, September 14, 2014 at the Fellowship Hall of Oak Grove Baptist Church, 350 N. Blackstock Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29301. A graveside service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by Pastor Ronald Allen.
