Tonzia Taylor Bishop, 52, of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, December 6, 2015, at her home. Born June 2, 1963, in Frankfurt, Germany, she was the daughter of Roy Marvin Taylor and Frances Taylor Royle and wife of William Keith Bishop, all of Spartanburg, SC. A graduate of Spartanburg High School and Summa Cum Laude with Honors graduate of USCU, Tonzia was a former probation and parole officer for the State of South Carolina. She was presented at the Magnolia Debutante Ball, was selected as the Probation and Parole Officer of the Year for the State of South Carolina, and attended St. Christopher Episcopal Church. In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by a daughter, Taylor Dixon Renquist (John) of Honolulu, HI; son, Joseph Grey Praytor of Charleston, SC; three grandsons, Owen, Mills, and Sullivan Renquist; and a granddaughter, Munro Renquist. She was predeceased by a brother, Timothy M. Taylor; paternal grandparents, Helen T. and Roy H. Taylor; and maternal grandparents, Olsie B. and Frank O. Hunsinger. Visitation will be 1:00-2:30 PM Friday, December 11, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pathway Pastoral Counseling, Tim Taylor Scholarship Fund, 400 Dupre Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
