Timothy Thornton

Timothy Steven Gerhard Thornton, 19, of Spartanburg, SC died Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born August 9, 2001 in Greenville, SC he was the son of Shawn Dale and Joan Lee Grant Thornton. Timothy was a huge music lover and a kind hearted free spirit. He loved his nieces and nephews dearly, and enjoyed spending quality time with them. He also leaves behind his beloved dog Bella who adored him just as much. He was a proud organ donor, who went on to save lives and he will forever live in our hearts as a hero. In addition to his parents, he is survived by siblings, Amanda Grant of Massachusetts, Charles Byrd (Amber) of Kentucky and Teresa Thornton (Jason) of Spartanburg, SC; paternal grandmother, Carol Craig of Easley, SC, maternal grandmother, Teresa Fowler (Johnny) of Travelers Rest, SC, maternal grandfather, Charles Grant of Greenville, SC; three aunts, two nephews, two nieces and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by paternal grandfather, Steven Thornton. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, 235 N.
