Timothy Haskins

Timothy Alanson Haskins, 43, of 1465 Grant Circle, Spartanburg, died July 6, 2011, at his home. Born October 8, 1967, in Delaware, OH, he was the son of the late Richard Calvert and Wilma Joan Mast Haskins. He was a 1986 graduate of Spartanburg High School where he was a member of the National Honor Society, Interact Club, Symphony Orchestra, and a National Merit semifinalist. He earned a degree in psychology from the University of Virginia in 1989 and went on to work in information technology. Tim was a gentle spirit who loved reading, cooking, gaming, and animals. He is survived by his sister, Harmony Haskins, of Spartanburg; and five half- siblings. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, by the Rev. Dr. Steve Holler. Visitation will follow at Trinity United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303; Spartanburg County Public Library, 151 South Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306; or to a charity of one's choice.
