Thomas Paul Clary, Sr., 94, of Cowpens, SC, died Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Spartanburg Regional Restorative Care. Born July 19, 1927 in Alma, GA, he was the son of the Alonzo and Elsie Ward Clary and was the husband of the late Louise C. Clary.
A US Navy veteran, Mr. Clary, Sr. served in World War II. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed life, loved to square dance and traveling with his wife.
Tommy was a longtime member of The Masonic Lodge and The Shriners in Spartanburg, SC.
Survivors include his daughter, Luanne Bogan of Cowpens, SC, his son, Thomas P. Clary, Jr. of Cowpens, SC, grandchildren, Codey Nagro (Brandon) of Spartanburg, SC, Brantley C. Bogan of Cowpens, SC, Hanah Hall (Jason) of Cowpens, SC, Thomas P. Clary, III (Robyn) of Boise, Idaho, Addison Kennedy of Campobello, SC; great grandchildren, Harper Boone of Spartanburg, SC, Thomas P. Clary IV of Boise, ID, and Emma L. Clary of Boise, ID. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Ruby Thomas, Pearl Pettit, Eula Lovelace, Louise Giles and Juanita Clary.
Visitation will be 12:30 – 1:45 PM Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM at the chapel, conducted by The Rev. Larry Reeves. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
Assemblage of family will be at the daughter’s home, 136 Martin Lane, Cowpens, SC 29330 or a granddaughter’s home, 236 Bennett Dairy Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
