Thomas Miller

Thomas Pinckney Miller, 89, of Taylors, SC died Friday, November 24, 2017, at White Oak at North Grove. Born April 1, 1928, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late James Fred and Flora Mae Lister Miller and husband of the late Eunice McAbee Miller. A United States Army Veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Miller was retired from the Spartanburg-Herald Journal newspaper in the mailing department. He was a Mason with Cooper Lodge No. 282 and Beaumont Lodge No. 376, a Shriner, and a member of Mountain View United Methodist Church. Survivors include his daughters, Deborah Kay Miller of Spartanburg, SC, and Peggy Black of Cowpens, SC; son, Eddie Turner of Chesnee, SC; brother, Harold Miller of Winchester, VA; and sister, Marianna Miller of Hendersonville, NC. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a son, David Keith Miller and a brother, James Fred Miller, Jr. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, with services following in the Chapel at 2:00 PM conducted by the Rev. Christopher E. Arries. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307 with military rites.
