Thomas Lawson

Thomas Leon "T. J." Lawson, 53, of 331 West Church Street, died Friday, July 17, 2009, at his home. Born September 12, 1955, in Bluefield, WV, he was the son of the late Thomas Richard and Elsie Faye Lambert Lawson. He was employed at Ford Drugs and Medical and was a member of Graham Chapel Wesleyan Church. Survivors include his wife, Tammy Tucker Lawson; two sons, Joshua Lawson and Brandon Lawson, and a daughter, Amber Lawson, all of the home; two brothers, Roger Lawson and Richard Lawson, both of Rocky Gap, VA; and a sister, Juanita Shrader of Boiling Springs. He was predeceased by two sisters, June Gregory and Nancy Akers. Visitation will be 1:30-2:45 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2009, at Graham Chapel Wesleyan Church. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Church conducted by the Rev. Preston Edmonds and Mr. Joshua Lawson. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615; or to the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
