Thelma Williams

Thelma C. Williams, 85, of Spartanburg, died Saturday, October 20, 2012 at her home. Born April 23, 1927 in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Mary Elizabeth Williams Campsen. Mrs. Williams was a graduate of Spartanburg High School Class of 1944, Cecil's Business College, and a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She had a love of gardening and arranging flowers and was known for her correspondence through her passion for composing letters to friends and family on a daily basis. Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Leslie M. Williams; daughters, Marilyn Armstrong (Gordon) of Gaffney and Elaine Moore (Robert) of Spartanburg; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Glenn Rusher.
