Thelma Hand

Thelma Louise Henderson Hand, 93, of Spartanburg, died Saturday, August 18, 2012, at Magnolia Place. Born August 14, 1919, in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence L. and Nadine Henderson Henderson and was married to the late Clyde M. Hand for 64 years. She was retired from Beaumont Mills and was of the Baptist faith, attending Bethel Assembly of God. Mrs. Hand is survived by daughters, Pat Clark (J.T.) of Spartanburg and Sandy Hand of Greer; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, including a special great-granddaughter, Kayla Atkinson; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruby Bohanon (Jerry) of Garland, TX; two brothers, Donald Henderson (Janice) of Spartanburg and Curtis Henderson (Es) of Reidville, NC. She was predeceased by a daughter, Shirley Avery and a son, Kenneth Hand. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday, August 19, 2012, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. Private graveside services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Bill Jolly. The family is at their respective homes.
