Thelma Knox Camby, 83, of Pacolet, SC, died Friday, October 31, 2014 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born April 2, 1931, in Union, SC, she was the daughter of the late John "Smiley" and Sibbie Eves Knox and the widow of the late William J. Camby. She was a member of Pacolet Mills Baptist Church, and a homemaker. Survivors include a son, Jerome B. Camby of Pacolet, SC; two daughters, Susan Byars of Pacolet, SC and Crissy Poe of Hendersonville, NC; three sisters, Linda Holland of Union, SC, Patricia Kerr of Spartanburg, SC, and Mary Jo Baldwin of Columbia, SC; and a brother, Ronnie Knox of Union, SC; four grandsons, Todd Byars, Cody Byars, Brandon Clark, and Conner Poe; a granddaughter, Jennifer Camby; and a great-granddaughter, Triston Clark. She was predeceased by a daughter, Denise C. Clark; a grandson, Michael Camby; three brothers, Bill Knox, Dick Knox, and Jack Knox; two sisters, Lona Mae Davis and Rachael Lawson. Visitation will be 1:00-2:45 PM Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at Floyd's Pacolet Chapel, 141 Memorial Drive, Pacolet, SC 29372. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM, conducted by the Rev. Ralph Jett and the Rev. Norman L. Band. Burial will be in Pacolet Memorial Gardens.
