Terry Ponder, Jr.

Terry Roland Ponder, Jr., 46, of Roebuck, SC, died Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born August 25, 1970, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of Linda Sue Johnson Orr of Roebuck, SC and the late Terry R. Ponder, Sr. An Honor Roll graduate of Dorman High School Class of 1989, Terry loved everything outdoors - from fishing to bonfires. He was of the Baptist faith, employed with Secondary Solutions, Inc., was a great "fixer" of broken things, enjoyed helping others, and was a BIG Clemson Tiger football fan! In addition to his mother he is survived by his step-father, Robert Orr; brother, Scott Ponder of the home; his girlfriend and her children, Michelle Wells, Andrew, Matthew, and Nicholas Ponder; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends; and his loving canine companion, Angel. A graveside service will be conducted at 4:00 PM Wednesday, March 29, 2017, in Heritage Memorial Gardens, 3901 S. Church St., Roebuck, SC 29376, by the Rev. Scott Davis. Visitation will follow at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The family is at the home of Linda Orr.
