Terry Garis

Terry Lee Garis, 58, of 186 Gibson Road, died Monday, March 29, 2010, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born March 23, 1952, in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was the son of Howard Garis of Phillipsburg, NJ, and the late Eleanor Force Garis. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and an industrial machine tech. Surviving in addition to his father is his wife, Heike Barbel Scheunert Garis; two daughters, Hope Weidner of Spartanburg and Jillian Garis of Columbia; a son, David Weidner of Spartanburg; a grandson, Tristan Garis of Spartanburg; two brothers, Howard Garis of Las Vegas, NV, and Mark Garis of Phillipsburg, NJ; and a sister, Patricia Heller of Easton, PA. An honoring and sharing service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010, at the home, 186 Gibson Road, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
