Terry Blackwell

Terry Allen Blackwell, 52, of 113 Moss Lane, Boiling Springs, SC, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012. Born May 18, 1959, in Spartanburg, he was a son of Mitchell A. Blackwell of Cowpens, SC, and the late Miriam King Blackwell. Mr. Blackwell was a member of El Bethel United Methodist Church where he enjoyed participating in many activities. He was employed with the Charles Lea Center through the Work Ability Program and he was also an avid bowler. In addition to his father, survivors include his brother, Mitchell Shell Blackwell and wife Tandy of Spartanburg; sister-in-law, Wendy M. Blackwell of Cowpens; four nieces; two nephews; two great nieces; five great nephews; a special aunt and uncle, Carolyn and Jim Metcalf of Spartanburg; and many loving cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Karen Joy Blackwell; and a brother, Stephen Scott Blackwell. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, March 9, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, by the Rev. Jack A. Caldwell. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
