Tena Scales

Tena Lou Bishop Scales, 57, of Cowpens, SC, died Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at her home. Born November 11, 1959, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Charles Berlin Bishop and Mary Lou Threadgill Bishop. Tena loved trips to the beach and gardening. A graduate of Converse College, she was a caseworker with Cherokee County Social Services and attended Cowpens First Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Kristin Doggett (Chris) of Gaffney, SC; granddaughters, Madison Doggett and Natalie Doggett of Gaffney, SC; and her Jack Russell terrier, Teddy. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Charles Jeffrey Bishop. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, June 16, 2017, at Cowpens First Baptist Church, 108 West Church Street, Cowpens, SC 29330, conducted by the Rev. Bill Westafer. Burial will be in Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens, 175 Cemetery St., Cowpens, SC 29330.
