Tammy Melton

Tammy Ruth Melton, 57, of Spartanburg, SC, entered our Father's Presence Saturday, August 8, 2020 when He called her home. Tammy was born on May 7, 1963 in Houston, Texas and was the daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. Gerald Melton. She is survived by her two sisters, Rebekah Kyle of Dallas, Texas and Paula (Vic) Little of Monroe, North Carolina as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Tammy was a graduate of Houston Baptist University and later completed her Master's of Psychology at Liberty University. Tammy was a testament of God's grace as He cared for her every need through many difficult years. Tammy always referred to herself when she called her sisters as "This is Tammy, your little sister." This always reminded us of the Apostle John as he referred to himself as "the apostle Jesus loved." Tammy always thought her place in our family as the ‘youngest daughter' was indeed an honor. Though our hearts grieve beyond human words for our little sister we rejoice in the knowing that she entered into His Presence and heard the Father say, "Well done." The family would like to express our appreciation to Rev. Bobby McFall. Rev. McFall was a help and a true friend to Tammy and our entire family. We also want to acknowledge her church family and her pastor, Dr. Don Wilton, who ministered support and unconditional love. We can never repay the countless number of medical professionals who cared for her through many difficult years. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests that donations of love be sent to Faith Home, 180 Battleground Road, Cowpens, SC 29330. A private graveside service will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020 with the Rev. David Moore officiating. Our family covet all of your prayers as our "Little Sister" will be missed in all the days to come.
