Sylvia Taylor

Sylvia Lindsey Taylor, 64, of 151 Fernwood Drive, died Monday, November 1, 2010, at her home. Born August 18, 1946 in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of Willie Layton Lindsey of Spartanburg and the late Geneva Fricks Lindsey and the wife of the late John Robert Taylor, Jr. She retired from Kelly Services and was a member of Fernwood Baptist Church, where she was a member of the choir. Survivors include two sons, John E. Taylor of Little Rock, AR and William Paul Taylor of Easley; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Alice Cole and Carrie Greer of Spartanburg, and Pat Martin of Leaksville, MS; and a brother, Gene E. Lindsey of Spartanburg. She was predeceased by two sisters, Willie Virginia Lindsey and Ruth L. Hester. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Monday, November 8, 2010 at Fernwood Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Church, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Dean Allen.
