Sylvia Clifton

Sylvia Jean Snow Clifton, 88, of Spartanburg passed away Friday, December 26, 2014. She was the wife of the late Paul Harrelson Clifton, Jr. and the daughter of the late Lydia and James Earl Snow. She was beloved by her surviving children, two sons; David Clifton and wife Marilyn of Stafford, VA, Jeff Clifton and wife Michelle of Landrum, SC; three daughters Debbie Jennings of Enoree, Sandra O'Dell and husband Darrell of Pauline; Lisa Clifton of Venice, CA; nine grandchildren, David, Ryan, Chris, Dan and Sam Clifton, Kylee Newkirk, Matthew Jennings, Elyse & Alexander Clifton; six great-grandchildren; Alexander Clifton (Orlando), Charlotte, Hunter and Lillian Newkirk, Alexander Clifton (Landrum), Fallon Jennings and Logan Wood. She will be remembered by her family as an example of kindness, generosity of spirit, and the embodiment of a true Christian life. Sylvia was a devout member of St. James United Methodist Church for 54 years where she served the church in many capacities. A graveside service will be held Sunday, January 4 at 2:30 at Fort Prince Memorial Gardens located at 126 Fort Prince Road, Welford, SC 29385.
