Sybil Knighton

Sybil Yvonne Knighton, 74, of Augusta, GA, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at her home. Born December 8, 1940, in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Willie Franklin and Mary James Knighton. She was a member of Fairmont United Methodist Church. Surviving are her sons, Keith Douglas Perry (Deanna) of Martinez, GA, and Scott Shannon Cornette (Patti) of Evans, GA; grandchildren, Daniel Perry, Alex Cornette, Ashley Walden, Adam Story, and April Story; and great-grandchildren, Georgia Walden, Clara Walden, and Beau Walden. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Larry Knighton. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Friday, January 16, 2015, at Fairmont United Methodist Church, 5149 Old Birch Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29301. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the church, conducted by the Rev. Bill Thompson. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
