Susan Ellis

Susan Sanders Ellis, 75, entered the gates of heaven on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. Susan was the daughter of the late Dan and Pearl Cogdill Sanders and her late brother, Danny Sanders. Susan is now rejoicing with them on the streets of gold.

Susan would consider her greatest earthly accomplishment to be her three children, six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

Susan is survived by her husband, Thomas B. Ellis Jr. of Pauline, her son, Joey Moss and wife, Sue Moss of Columbia, her daughters, Sandy Moss and husband, Mark Moss of Union, and Cristin (Crissy) Harris and husband, Josh Harris of Spartanburg. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brittany Hanvey, Meagan Smith, Marybeth Moss, Sydney Moss, Bratton Harris, and Ellis Harris, along with her great grandchildren Nate, Hallie, and Olivia. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and she will be forever remembered as Mama Sue.

Susan was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church, where her services will be held. Her family appreciates your continued prayers as they mourn the loss of their beloved Mama Sue.

Visitation will be 1:00 – 2:30 PM Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Philadelphia Baptist Church, 3119 Hwy. 56, Pauline, SC 29374. A Celebration of Life service will be at 3:00 PM at the church, conducted by The Rev. Kiah Graves and Mr. Alex Hanvey. Burial will follow in the Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
