Sue Lowe

Corrie Sue Thomas Lowe, 75, of Spartanburg, SC, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Hilton C. Lowe, who preceded her in death in August 2011. Mrs. Lowe was born December 25, 1941, in Spartanburg, SC, a daughter of the late James Lewis Thomas and Leonie Bagwell Thomas. Mrs. Lowe was a member of Parkway Freewill Baptist Church. She was an office manager with H. C. Lowe Plumbing Service until retirement. Survivors include two daughters, Teresa Thomas and husband Jeff of Pacolet Mills, SC, and Denise Burnitz and husband Mark of West Columbia, SC; a son, Ray Jewell and wife Stacy of Chapin, SC; and two sisters, Hazel Hames and Peggy Brady, both of Inman, SC; grandchildren, Daniel Jewell and wife Sarah, Carl Burnitz and fiancé Olivia, Courtney Jewell, Lindsay Burnitz, and Cassie Jewell; and a number of nieces and nephews; special family friends, Manuel Quezada and wife Lilia and their three children, Yasmine, Ricardo, and Jessica. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her infant twin boys on March 15, 1962 and son, Franklin Lewis Jewell (U. S. Navy) in November 1991; and a brother, Billy Wayne Thomas in July 2002. The family will receive friends from 2:00-2:45 PM Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by Pastors Mitch Edge and Wes Murray.
