Sue Lawrence

Sue R. Lawrence, 88, of Spartanburg, formerly of Inman, died Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at Skylyn Place-Spartanburg. Born May 16, 1924, in Spartanburg County, she was the widow of Don Lawrence and daughter of the late Robert C. and Myrtle Maynor Ray. Mrs. Lawrence was retired from Three Pines Country Club and was a member of Central Baptist Church of Cowpens. Surviving are her son, Ronnie Brown (Ruth) of Cherryville, NC; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Aileen Lawing of Gaffney, SC, Jeanette Rivers of Anderson, SC, Sara Githens of Spartanburg, SC, and Norma Ruppe of Cowpens, SC; and a brother, Benny Ray of Spartanburg, SC. A cryptside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, December 21, 2012, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Complex. Visitation will follow at the cryptside.
