Steven R. Werner, 76, of Spartanburg, SC died Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at RoseCrest. Born January 18, 1946 in Cohasset, MA, he was the son of the late Leonard Hugo and Anne Killion Werner.

A US Navy veteran, Mr. Werner was retired from Milliken & Co. after serving 32 years. Steven enjoyed playing golf, was an avid walker, and loved to read spy thrillers. He was a very easy going, family-oriented man. He loved to be outdoors and loved to travel to New Orleans.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Susanne Lesesne Werner; his daughters, Antonya W. Godbold (Van) of Cary, NC and Katherine K. Werner of Spartanburg, SC; his son, Marshall L. Werner of Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Nina Kovscek, Caleb Godbold, Luke Godbold, Zeke Godbold, Reilly Lagerholm, Juno Lagerholm and Cortland Lagerholm; and his siblings, Michael Werner of Gulf Breeze, FL, Melanie McCallum, Sharon Thiry, Valerie Nichols, and Stanley Werner, all of Pensacola, FL. He was predeceased by a brother, Leonard Werner.

Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
