Steven Henson

Steven "Steve" Larry Henson, 70, of Spartanburg, SC died Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Grand Strand Medical Center. Born August 22, 1947 in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Grady and Juanita Harvey Ernest Henson. Steve was retired from W.N. Kirkland. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Survivors include his loving wife, Denise B. Henson; daughter, Christy Tatham (Kevin); son, Brian Henson (Stacia); grandchildren, Daulton, Devin, and Courtney Tatham, Steven and Nathan Henson; step-children, Christy Threlkeld (George), Jason Smith (Ashley); step-grandchildren, Greyson, Wyatt, and Andi Smith; Trey and Jake Threlkeld; step-great granddaughter, Paisley Threlkeld; brother, Bobby Henson; nephews, David and Jimmy Henson; mother-in-law, Louise Ballenger; special aunt, Peggy Emory; special friends, Charles Owens and Ricky Crowe; and special furry friend, Scooter. Graveside service will be 2:00 PM Monday, September 25, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Park, 1955 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, conducted by the Rev. Rob Gouge.
