Steven Dwight Boyter, 70, of Spartanburg, SC, died Sunday, July 31, 2016, at his home. Born July 28, 1946, in the Beech Springs Community of Spartanburg County, SC, he was the son of the late Marshall Bryant Boyter and Lois Cox Boyter. A veteran of the U. S. Army National Guard, Mr. Boyter was an employee of Community Cash Stores with over 40 years of service. Later, he worked with Thomas & Howard and retired from A&E Auto Electric. He was a 1964 graduate of Byrnes High School and a member of Cannon's Camp Ground United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Sandra Lawhorn Boyter; daughter, Christy Boyter Willis (Paul) of Cowpens, SC; grandchildren, Nicholas Willis, Reagan Willis, and Ryan Willis, all of Cowpens, SC; brother, Larry Boyter (Kaye) of Duncan, SC; half-brother, Ronnie Boyter (Lynn) of Campobello, SC; and half-sister, Sara Jo Fortenberry of Spartanburg, SC. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Billy Boyter. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Saturday, August 6, 2016, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Gerald Burnett. Burial, with military honors, will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.
