Steven Baer

Steven Abbott Baer, 64, of Spartanburg, formerly of Howell, NJ, died peacefully at his home Thursday, December 2, 2010. Born April 10, 1946 in Yonkers, NY, he was the son of the late Betty White Baer and Emil Baer and wife Shirley of Stuart, FL. He was the President and owner of Apexical, Inc., a business member of the South Carolina Sheriff Association, the Spartanburg Chamber of Commerce, the Spartanburg Development Association, and the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorist. Survivors include his wife, Lorraine M. Baer of Spartanburg; a son, Daniel (Tracy) Fasolino of Salem, SC; three daughters, Jessica (Javier) Diaz of North Caldwell, NJ, Arlyn Baer and Elizabeth Baer of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Samantha Fasolino and Anthony Diaz; brother-in-law, William Parke; and a niece, Ateeka Poole. He was predeceased by a sister, Alicia Parke. Visitation will be 12:00-1:45 p.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel, conducted by Chaplain Clegg Taylor.
