Stephen "Steve" Gregory Trump, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on January 25, 2024, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He was born on October 19, 1949, in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, to the late William Trump and Mary Klinger Trump.
Steve served in the United States Marine Corp and was a proud veteran who held great respect and admiration for the Marine Corp. He exemplified the values of honor and duty throughout his life and remained a strong supporter of those who served.
Family meant everything to Steve. His beloved wife, Barbara Ann Trump of Wellford, with whom he shared 51 years of marriage. Together they raised three children: Jeff Trump (Danna Weber) of Stanford, KY; Chris Trump (Amanda) of Greenville, SC; and Cindy Jolly (Michael) of Lyman, SC.
Grandchildren: Austin Trump; Ashtin Trump; Amber Jolly; Rebekah Jolly; Caleb Bryant; Carly Adams; Hope Adams; Dana Rodriguez; and his great granddaughter, Chloe Espinoza. Additionally, Steve leaves behind a niece, Stephanie Patel and nephew, Darren Trump. His companion dog Reece, held a special place in his heart – sometimes more than the kids.
Steve was preceded in death by his brother Albert "Sonny" Trump.
Steve possessed an adventurous spirit. He traveled extensively with his family, taking them on unforgettable trips around the United States. One of his favorite destinations was Las Vegas, where he and his wife visited several times a year.
A visitation will be held to honor Steve's memory on Monday, January 29, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The J.F. Floyd Mortuary, 235 N Church St, Spartanburg, SC 29306.
A funeral service will be held 12:30PM on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at The J.F. Floyd Mortuary, 235 N. church St., Spartanburg, SC 29306; burial will follow in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens in Wellford, SC; services will be conducted by the Rev. Jim McMakin.
Steve Trump was a man who lived life with ease and pursued happiness in every moment. His laid-back nature and zest for life were infectious, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
