Stephen Mahaffee

Stephen Wayne Mahaffee, 53, of Cowpens, died Thursday, September 1, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born January 1, 1958, in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Cliatt Reid and Mary Ann Willis Mahaffee. Mr. Mahaffee attended Westside Baptist Church and was an employee of Hamrick's Textiles of Gaffney. Survivors include his loving wife of 18 years, Janice C. McCullough Mahaffee of the home; daughter, Lisa France of Cowpens; son, Allen Peeler and wife Crystal of Gaffney; daughter, Amanda Deaton of Gaffney; nine grandchildren; sister, Debbie Genobles and husband Randy of Spartanburg; two nieces; one nephew; and one great-niece. He was predeceased by a brother, Carroll R. Mahaffee. Visitation will be 2:30-3:30 PM Sunday, September 4, 2011, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 4:00 PM, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Travis Blackwell and the Rev. Eddie Willis.
