Stephen Scott Blackwell, 54, of 123 Bobcat Trail, died Wednesday, January 25, 2012. Born December 13, 1957, in Spartanburg, he was a son of Mitchell A. Blackwell and the late Miriam King Blackwell. He was a 1976 graduate of Spartanburg High School and attended Spartanburg Methodist College. Steve was an employee of Faurecia and was the longtime owner/operator of Blackwell Masonry. He served with the SC National Guard and was a member of True Life Church. Survivors include his wife, Wendy Mizalousky Blackwell; daughters, Candi Moss (Phillip) of Clifton, Lindsay Smith (Brandon) of Greenville, and Stepheny Blackwell of Cowpens; son, Ray Blackwell of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Dylan Smith, Justin Smith, Ty Smith, Cody Smith, Christina Elliott, Brittany Greene, Tiffany Moss, Haley Moss, Ryan Kate Smith, and Ginna Claire Smith; great-grandchildren, Kaileigh Greene and Makenzie Greene; brothers, Terry Allen Blackwell of Boiling Springs and Mitchell Shell Blackwell (Tandy) of Spartanburg. He was predeceased by a sister, Karen Joy Blackwell. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at the Chapel, conducted by Pastor Jeff Mahaffey. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
