Stephen Maurice Bingman, 72, died on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born June 29, 1949, in Steubenville, Ohio, a son of the late Clyde M. and Rhoda Hammill Bingman.
Mr. Bingman started his military career in the U. S. Marines and then served in the North Carolina Air National Guard. He was a practicing Attorney in Spartanburg. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cowpens.
Survivors are his wife of 30 years, Jan D. Lawhon Bingman; daughters, Mary Kate Bingman, Grace Campbell and Stephanie Bingman Sweet (Steven), of Davenport, Florida; son, Cooper Campbell; a sister Martha Bingman Harris of Johns Island, SC and a brother-in-law, Horace Reese Also numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Mr. Bingman was predeceased by a sister, Charlene Bingman Reese.
Graveside service will be Wednesday, February 2, 2022, 2:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 1955 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC, 29307, conducted by Rev. Kermit Morris.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Cowpens Building Fund, 108 W. Church St., Cowpens, SC, 29330.
