Stella Johnston Moore, 89, of 108 Marlin Drive, died Friday, November 20, 2009, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born January 18, 1920, in Davidson, NC, she was the daughter of the late Houston Monroe and Sallie Sigmon Johnston and the wife of the late Charles Lee Moore. She attended Davidson College and graduated from the Woman's College of the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, the Loyalty Sunday School Class, and Circle #6. Survivors include a son, Robert Johnston Moore of Aiken; a daughter, Catherine Moore Hanks and her husband Bobby of Spartanburg; three grandchildren, Ryan Hanks of Melbourne, FL, Robbie Moore and his wife Kristen of Evans, GA, and Karen Cannon and her husband Brandon of Augusta, GA; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 p.m. Sunday, November 29, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. David B. Smith and the Rev.
