Stanley "Stan" Allen Willard, 68, of Spartanburg, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born December 30, 1942, he was the son of the late James Harrison and Mabel Allen Willard. A veteran of the U. S. Air Force, Mr. Willard served during the Vietnam era. He was a member of Cedar Spring Baptist Church and the Joe Webb Sunday School Class. He was also a member of Glendale Masonic Lodge, York Rite Lodge, and was a Shriner. Stan retired from Piedmont Natural Gas Company and he loved fishing and hunting. Survivors include his loving wife, Merlyn Lipscomb Willard; his son, Henry Newton McMillan, Jr. and wife Kimberly of Campobello; his daughter, Kimberly Dawn Hayes and husband Tony R. of Pacolet; grandchildren, Rebekah, Katherine, Thomas, and Nathan McMillan, Carrie and James Hayes; and his stepmother, Sarah Hyatt Willard. Visitation will be 1:30-2:30 PM Sunday, June 26, 2011, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Todd Lowe and the Rev. Carrol Lindsey. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum.
