Stanley Ellman Nabow, 90, of Spartanburg, SC, died Monday, January 16, 2017, at his home. Born December 18, 1926, in Charlotte, NC, he was the son of the late David and Hannah Nabow and husband of the late Elizabeth Jolley Nabow. A graduate of Duke University and U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, Mr. Nabow was employed with Duke Power Company for over 40 years. He was a member of Temple B'Nai Israel, the American Legion, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Duke Retirees, and a volunteer for Mobile Meals and Total Ministries. Survivors include his son, Robert D. Nabow and wife Sandy of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Melissa Lesley, and Amanda Coleman and husband Paul, all of Spartanburg, SC; great-grandson, Joey Lesley; and sister, Marian Soloway of West Orange, NJ. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by Rabbi Yossi Liebowitz. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Temple B'Nai Israel, 146 Heywood Avenue, Spartanburg, SC 29302; or McCarthy-Tezler School, 175 Burdette Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
