Stanley Blanchard

Stanley Blanchard, 62, of Spartanburg, SC, died in Spartanburg County. Born June 7, 1955, in Spartanburg, he was the son of Jessie Mae Rakestraw Blanchard of Spartanburg, SC and the late Frank Blanchard. Mr. Blanchard was very committed to his country, having served in the US Air Force, US Army, US Army Reserve and he was also a veteran of the Vietnam War. Stanley was a member of Stone Station Baptist Church. He loved flowers, poetry, music, and animals. In addition to his mother, survivors include a sister, Dianne B. Higgins and her husband, Lee of Huntsville, TX; four nephews; and one niece. Along with his father, he was also predeceased by a brother, Garth Eugene Blanchard. A graveside service, with military rites, will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, February 23, 2018, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307, by the Rev.
