Sonia Carloss Carlson

Sonia Carloss Carlson, 98, of Spartanburg, died Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Summit Hills. Born July 20, 1925, in Penzance, Cornwall, England, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Gerald and Anna Jenkins Carloss and the wife for 76 years to the late Dr. Howard L. Carlson. 

She is survived by a son, Paul Howard Carlson and daughter-in-law, Susie Satterfield Carlson of Columbia, SC; daughter, Candace Carlson Cole and son-in-law, Joseph Derham Cole of Spartanburg, SC; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Paul A. Carloss. 

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 415 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
