Snowie Horton

Snowie Mae Horton, 88, of Boiling Springs, SC died Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born February 9, 1934, in Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late James Calvin Christian, Sr. and Junie Mae Leaird Christian, and was the wife of the late Leonard Leroy Horton.

Snowie was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her daughters, Dianne Hipp of Boiling Springs, Wanda Wolfe of Spartanburg, and Donna McSwain of Boiling Springs; grandchildren, Kim Hipp, Tyler Belcher, Jeramie Horton, Jessica Horton, Jason Brannon, Shelley Scott, and Lisa Schrum; and ten great-grandchildren. Along with her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Terry Leroy Horton; sisters, Louise Hunt and Helen Lovelace; and brothers, James Calvin Christian, Jr., John Lewis Christian, and Hugh Dorsey Christian.

A Graveside service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Visitation will follow at the graveside.
