Shirley Huskey

March 15, 1939 — February 28, 2010

Shirley Ann Riddle Huskey, 70, of Roebuck, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 28, 2010, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born March 15, 1939, in Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Clifton Mitchell and Marie Fowler Riddle. She was a homemaker and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and a charter member of Beaver Hills Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Edward Defoix Huskey; two daughters, Debra A. Terry of Roebuck, and Annette Huskey Wallace and husband Glenn of Columbus, NC; a son, Edward E. "Eddie" Huskey and wife Jonnie of Roebuck; six grandchildren, Chad Huskey (Beth), Tonya Green, Amanda Kirby (Todd), Megan Durham (Chris), Christopher Wallace (Elise), and Carly Wallace; four great-grandchildren, Courtney, Kadyn, Bailey, and Hannah; and two brothers, Frank Riddle of Boiling Springs, and Jimmy Riddle of Pacolet. She was predeceased by two sisters, Martha and Ruby; and a brother, Junior. Visitation will be 2:30-3:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Jack Caldwell and the Rev. Willie Crain. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Lutheran Hospice, 218-A Trade Street, Greer, SC 29652. Special thanks is extended by the family for the loving care shown by all, especially Sue, Kathy, Martha, and Carrie.
