Shirley Reynolds

Shirley Anne Reynolds, 84, of Spartanburg, died Thursday January 7, 2021, at her residence. Born February 9, 1936 in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late Howard Hilton Sellars and Fay Sue Spencer Sellars and was married to the late Jack Reynolds. Shirley was the Municipal Clerk-Treasurer for the Town of Cowpens for 32 years and was a member of Westside Baptist Church of Cowpens. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by a son, Robert Howard Phillips (Terri) of Spartanburg; a daughter, Angela Lynne Tennyson (Jerry Skinner) of Cowpens; a step-daughter, Cathy Reynolds; a step-son, Donald Reynolds; grandchildren, Dylan Phillips, Logan Philips, Jamie Tennyson and Hunter Tennyson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Shirley was predeceased by her siblings, Mildred Inez Poteat (James Leroy), John Calvin Sellars (Tommie), Norman Taylor Sellars, Howard Leroy Sellars, and James Hilton Sellars. The family will receive friends 1:00-1:45 p.m. Thursday, January 14, 2021, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Jimmy Powell. Burial will be in Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Cowpens, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may to be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, PO Box 2624, Spartanburg, SC 29304 or to Cowpens Fire Department or Police Department, 5332 N. Main Street, Cowpens, SC 29330. The family expresses special thanks to hospice caregivers, Maurice and Christina, and nurse's aides, Dee, Gabby and Haley.
