Shirley Phillips

Shirley Keeler Phillips, 61, of Spartanburg, SC, died Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at her home. Born April 22, 1954, in Winchester, VA, she was the daughter of Arthur Babcock of New York and Frances Keeler of Spartanburg, SC. Shirley loved her grandchildren. She retired from Reeves Brothers after 25 years of service and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Samuel Dean Phillips; son, Chuckie Gowan (Lorna) of York, SC; daughter, Melissa Henry (Todd) of Belmont, SC; granddaughters, Abby Henry, Jada Gowan, Kenedy Gowan, Daisy Gowan, Tiffany Rigor (Cheyenne), and Chae Childers; three great-grandchildren; sister, Tonya Snapp of Spartanburg, SC; brothers, Dennis Keeler and L. D. Keeler, both of Spartanburg, SC; numerous nieces and nephews; and best friend for over 40 years, Barbara Austin. Visitation will be 1:00-1:45 PM Friday, November 20, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307 with a memorial service following at 2:00 PM, conducted by the Rev. Andy Case. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Interim Healthcare Hospice, 155 Deacon Tiller Court, Duncan, SC 29334.
