Shirley Cooke

Shirley Rebecca Cooke, 80, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, February 5, 2022 at her home. Born February 4, 1942 in Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Ruby Lowery Lawson and was the wife of the late Jimmy Arlen Cooke.

Shirley was a member of Calvary Baptist Church – Cowpens.

Survivors include her children, Timothy Cooke (Tima) of Inman, SC, Tina Purvis (Harry), Tony Cooke, and Todd Cooke, all of Cowpens, SC; 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, her siblings, Sherry Ayers of Simpsonville, SC and Richard Lawson (JoAnn) of Greer, and her four-legged companion, “Conan.” She was also predeceased by a son, Richard Cooke.

A Graveside service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, February 10, 2022 in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, 451 Pleasant Valley Road, Cowpens, SC 29307, conducted by The Rev. Dean Patton. Visitation will be at the graveside.

The family will be at the home of Timothy Cooke, 218 Paces Court, Inman, SC 29349.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church - Cowpens, 451 Pleasant Valley Road, Cowpens, SC 29307
